Mike is a member of the SP+ INFRA Board of Directors. Mike is also a co-founding partner and Chairman of Triangle Peak Partners, a growth stage investor in technology, clean tech and energy, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Portcullis Partners.

Mike is the former president and current lead director at Kinder Morgan (NYSE:KMI), one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. He joined Kinder Morgan at its founding in 1997 and has served in various senior leadership roles at the company for more than 25 years, including heading KMI’s corporate development efforts, leading as president of KMI, and continuously serving on the company’s board of directors since 2003.

Mike has previously served on the boards Sunnova (NYSE:NOVA); Stem (NYSE:STEM); Star Peak Energy Transition Corp. (NYSE:STPK); and Star Peak Corp II (NYSE:STPC). He also served as a director of two public energy funds affiliated with Kayne Anderson (NYSE: KYN and KYE), and on a number of private company boards for Triangle Peak Partners portfolio companies. Mike currently serves as co-chair of the advisory council for the Precourt Institute for Energy at Stanford University and previously served as the national chair of The Stanford Fund.

Mike received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and both a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Stanford University.
